RMURRAY 1 #26 September 7, 2005 QuoteAre you guys saying that if you wear contacts, the Oxygen (and Mamba and Z1 as well?) are fine WITHOUT goggles? That would be great to not have to wear them with a helmet. Never a problem with my regular Oxygn. I haven't worn goggles for 6 years or so...it may depend on what type of jumping you are doing - I am doing 4 way mainly. rm
UDSkyJunkie 0 #27 September 8, 2005 Don't wear glasses myself, but my peice partner on my 4-way team does. I have kicked, knee'd, slammed, ect him in the face more times than I can count, and he's very happy with his helmet and how it treats his glasses. He's got a Z-1. I also fly a Z-1, and personally think it's far and away the best out there... very clean, NEVER comes open accidentally, you NEVER lose a face shield for no reason, and the STI version is just plain sweet. Others might disagree for various reasons, but I really don't care... Z-1 is where it's at."Some people follow their dreams, others hunt them down and beat them mercilessly into submission." jkbernstein 1 #28 September 8, 2005 I've never known anyone to wear goggles underneath a full face helmet; that's the point of the face shield. I don't wear contacts myself, but my boyfriend does. He's got a Factory Diver; he's never had a problem with his contacts.

It's not usually the helmet, it is your glasses. So, you only want a full-face helmet which has a face shield which you can quickly open. On anything but a low-humidity day, I usually open mine under canopy before breathing. I found room for my regular glasses (pretty small) under a Havok and FreeZR. I didn't like the FreeZR security, as it's chinstrap doesn't really do anything. I now wear a tiny pair of glasses, kid's frames, which just touches the inside of my Z1. It's gonna depend on your head size and shape. If your prescription is not too high (maybe less than 2.5 diopters nearsighted) you can get wrap-around frames, which will fit inside more helmets.
