ryand96 0 #3 September 3, 2005 You don't need to roll the nose. It opens soft enough as is. I've put 500 jumps on Sabre 2's and have had consistently soft openings. I had one slammer that I think was caused by the slider not being pulled out far enough or not being against the stops.
skydivingdutch 0 #4 September 6, 2005 I have a Saber 1 135 this is what I do: quater the slider as much as possible and shove the nose all the way into the pack job, no rolling. This has always given me good openings, and I jave talked to some Sabre2 owners that this works on. http://dropman.com
ljwobker 2 #5 September 16, 2005 I've got 600 jumps on a Sabre2-170, I don't do anything super special with my pack jobs. I don't roll the nose, but I am careful to get the slider all the way up against the stops and quartered. Just before rolling up the tail, I barely tug the center cell out into the center of the pack job and expose it just a little. In my experience this helps keep it more on-heading during opening, although I've also found that paying close attention to my shoulder levels fixes more of the off-heading problems I was having in the past. packing_jarrett 0 #6 September 16, 2005 This is what I do: Flake it out like normal, instead or quarting the slider pull it all into the nose, roll the tail a lot, Try to be real neat putting it in the bag, make a lot of small line stows. It opens real nice. Remember single stow with small rubberbandsNa' Cho' Cheese
