Wonder how Adam is going to twist up Motown next week. :S

ltdiver

The mind boggles when you think of the possibilities....and not in a good way.

I think he will tone things down a little....if Simon keeps saying your performance was rubbish sooner or later the viewing public is going to agree with him. He was lower in the dialidol rankings than I expected him to be based on the judges' praise for him so I don't think he can afford performances that alienate people for much longer.

Interestingly enough it was about a 50% split at work today on whether Adam's performance was liked or not. I was very surprised that the oldest member of the group liked him the most.

I work with 2 women, one in her 40's that is a country fan and the other in her early 50's and I'm the oldest at 57....we unanimously hated Adam's Ring of Fire. Capital U!!

Some of the comments on various sites surprise me with how many people liked it...but it seems that the people that disliked it...REALLY disliked it, maybe enough to turn them off Adam for the rest of the competition....and I don't think that would be a good thing for his chances.

The country fan at work said the version of Ring of Fire that Dilana did on Rock Star Supernova was very similar and she thought that Adam got his inspiration from that take on it.

Edited to add this link to a post titled "Ring of WTF"

Cheers,

Murray

Well, what a difference a week makes. Adam got rid of the nail polish combed back his hair, put on a suit, said he wanted to do the song "Tracks of my Tears" justice and he did very good version of it. It was really good and one of my top songs of the evening.

The other two at the top were Matt doing Let's Get It On and Alison doing Papa Was A Rolling Stone to close the show.

Danny - 4th place Lil 5th, Anoop 6th, Kris 7th,

Bottom three - Scott, Megan and Michael. Megan looked like a million bucks in a short blue dress but she sure didn't sound like a million bucks. Bad song for her...I just can't remember it right now which is pretty significant.(Edited to add..it was For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder) Michael was pretty dull and Scott a bit better than both of them.

Going home - Michael or Megan. If Michael, no chance of a save as they made that clear last week. If Megan I think they'll give her a chance but doing the song she did tonight...I think her chances are slim to none to survive if she is the bottom vote-getter.

AI just finished tonight on the west coast.

Have to completely agree with everything you said.

Too close to call, but it'll be either Megan or Michael who goes. My choice, Megan. America's choice most likely Michael.

Here's a comment from Vote For The Worst that cracked me up:

Lori,

You picked the "leaver"...but it was very surprising to see Matt in the bottom three along with Scott and Michael and Megan being safe.

Vote for the Worst will be patting themselves on the back tonight!

I'm going to miss Megan. She really didn't care...she totally embraced her VFTW status and had some laughs while it lasted. Her "farewell" performance was a hoot. That, and Lady Gaga made my evening. And Anoop going Caw Caw to her after she was done. LMAO.

Anyone still watching this??

Last night?? WTF??
Did Simon get into Paula`s Pill Stash or something?? Seriously, I have never seen Simon that far off before.

Kris and Allison both Delivered GREAT performances, Praised by all of the other Judges.. Then Simon says they sucked. :S

Then Matt come on and totally Blows.. All of the other 3 judges agree He sucked and tells him that.. Then Simon (The one thing you could usually count on was Honesty from Him) comes and tells him it was the best of the night till that point.

Conspiracy theory ahead (Please put on the your Official Tin Foil Hat before reading more)

I have always thought that the show was pretty much rigged in how they Manipulate Votes.

I agree that Adam is pretty much the forgone conclusion as the winner this year and that he should be, But what bothers me is the way the show is "Insuring this".

1. Adam once again gets the Pimp Slot. He (Nor dushe-bag Church Boy (The two clear Judges Favorites since the beginning)) Have ever had to go first in the line up. They are always in the last couple slots with Adam usually going last. A huge advantage in this show.

2. Pay attention to the lighting when Adam performs. No one else gets the superstar lighting treatments.

3. This past week Simon Bashes the two best performances of the night (Kris and Allison) and then Hypes the worst (Matt). I cannot figure out why Simon (And the producers) would throw Kris and Allison under the bus like they did and try to Save Matt (Which they have already done once with the Judges Save).

It should be very clear that Matt should go home tonight. But by sending Kris or Allison home this week abnd keeping the weaker Matt on for next week (Rock Week BTW, Should be Kris and/or Allisons Forte) They are protecting Adam and Danny for next week.

If it were Allison, Kris, Danny and Adam going into Rock Week it should be VERY close and Any one of them could be sent packing (Including the possibly one of the Chosen Two).

By Tossing Allison or Kris under the Bus this week and saving Matt.. Matt would definately be the one getting voted off next week thus saving the chosen two in the only week remaining that could be a challenge to them.

Anyone else see this or should I double up on the tin Foil Next time?:D

Double the tin foil and share some with me!

Nah I see it like you do brother. I get 'forced' to watch it with my fiancee' but I do like it at times and at times HATE IT!!! Mostly because of crappy performances like the one Matt had last night. I think Simon should slow down on his mind-altering drugs because he surely was smoking rocks last night when he said Matt did well. But I like your reasoning regarding the next weeks song selections regard the rock category. I think Matt if not today, will VERY soon go home and hopefully it'll be Allison, Danny, and Adam duking it out in the final 3 with Adam winning it all.

It's a good thing my wife is fucking deaf too, or I would have been forced to watch it too. :D

She does like to watch the Dancing with the stars show, but since that conflicts with one of my other favorite shows I watch my show on the other TV, and NO, IT IS NOT BALLROOM DANCING, DAMMIT! :D

This hasn't been as popular a thread as last year but I'm still checking in....

I completely missed last night's show but I have to agree with you on how they just pimp some people over the others. I sure hope that Alison makes it to Rock Week which she should own.

When I heard that last night was "Rat Pack" night I was hoping that Adam would do "My Way".....the Sex Pistols version ;)

I still am hoping for a Ramones night....you had some great song choices last year out of the Ramones catalogue.

I am sure hoping that Matt is gone tonight.
