ltdiver 3 #1 May 6, 2009 One of the most anticipated beverages of 2009 is hitting shelves with the arrival of Pepsi Throwback, a natural sugar version of Pepsi sweetened with a combination of cane/beet sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Possessing an official release date of April 20, this limited edition soft drink will be available for only 8 weeks. http://www.bevreview.com/2009/04/17/pepsi-throwback/ Anyone try this yet? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

There is still ONE Dr. Pepper bottler that still uses sugar instead of corn...it's here in Texas, and if ya get some ya can really tell the difference. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

masterrig 1 #10 May 6, 2009 Could it be that, the sky-rocketing price of corn has made cane and beet sugar more appealing to bottlers? Cane sugar sodas are much better tasting than those using corn syrup. Chuck

ltdiver 3 #12 May 13, 2009 Found the Pepsi Throwback at Stater Bros today. After sampling my first taste of this new beverage I don't believe I will like the current (corn syrup) Pepsi ever again. The new Throwback is lighter, softer in taste, and very refreshing. A very nice change from the syrupy taste of the Pepsi I've tasted over the years. Really hope they keep it longer than the aforementioned 8 weeks! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
