Andy_Copland 0 #1 May 13, 2009 Every time the lady talks to them they always bullshit her. So i told her to call them up today to just keep the internet access with no phone, we have mobile phones so it makes no sense to have a home phone. As usual she got the "we can't do that." So i gave them a call and told them they can and will. I got the supervisor who then tried telling me that it was dangerous as if my mobile phone dies I can't dial 911... that wasnt gonna fly. Long story short, bill cut in half and i got what i wanted. Robbing bastards.1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue. jtnesbitt 0 #2 May 13, 2009 Dude, dont you trust in Jeremy Piven? They spent a ton of money to get him to let everyone know how they bought er i mean earned 3 awards for customer service from JD Power and Associates! And let's not forget about the coolness factor. I mean if little screaming girls are gonna run around chasing Nick Lachey because he has a CB phone then they will do it to me to right? I want one! Heh, i hate that company. Honestly I hate any company that has a monopoly in a market."If this post needs to be moderated I would prefer it to be completly removed and not edited and butchered into a disney movie" - DorkZone Hero
Icon134 0 #3 May 14, 2009 Most land-line phone companies have an effective monopoly in the area they cover... at least if you want to have a traditional home phone. I suppose I agree that in an emergency a home phone is more likely to actually work then a VOIP (unless you have a UPS) or a cell phone that could have a dead battery... but with GPS chips built into most current cell phones there's no reason EMS shouldn't be able to locate you in an emergency. I guess I'm fortunate in that I have at least 3 choices for High Speed internet (two cable companies, DSL, and I think I can get clearwire wirelessly as well), several choices for digital television (2 cable companies, Satellite providers...) and wonderfully I have Highspeed internet through the cable company... and Digital TV Via Satellite... and the last time I spoke to Time Warner about my Highspeed internet they didn't press too hard when I told them I was content with my DirecTV. Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
