I saw it on ichc the other day. I don't find it particularly funny although the cats are cute. They certainly were not hurt, but definitely looked annoyed... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
LongWayToFall 0 #5 May 19, 2009 That is excellent. More fun when you do it with your own cat. Lisa, the cats are not being hurt, and their purpose in life is to provide us with entertainment, so why not? A cows purpose in life is to be eaten, this is not quite as bad as killin em. I realize they aren't being hurt. They are though, being stressed out. They entertain me enough with their natural silliness. I don't feel the need to tape up their paws to make a dumbass video. And would have found it funny if they had achieved the same result by getting the cat to purr out of pleasure instead of annoyance. So although in theory it could have been delightfully amusing, I don't think it's funny to stress out an animal "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." - Chris Hadfield « Sors le martinet et flagelle toi indigne contrôleuse de gestion. » - my boss

happythoughts 0 #12 May 19, 2009 Quote Never approach a cow with a sledge hammer. It stresses them out. You can't approach my friends cat, even with a sledge hammer. We always say, "You have to sign a waiver to pet the cat". He has social issues. "He's becoming very mellow." "He bit you last month... and he likes you." "See? Only once in two months." happythoughts 0 #15 May 19, 2009 Quote I am trying to train the neighbors cat to eat lovebugs. ?? Right now in Florida, it is lovebug season. If you haven't lived through them, they come out in droves after a good rain. Then, they live for 3 days and swarm everywhere. They are plastered all over your car, but are a nuisance when just walking or sitting. Instead of genetically engineering purple dogs, why not a cat that eats lovebugs and breathes CO2 ? That would be more practical.

happythoughts 0 #18 May 20, 2009 pic They don't bite (fortunately). They swarm around and get into everything. You have to drink with your hand over the container. They spend their short lives mating. They fly around joined at the tail. People refer to them as "those f-in bugs". That's exactly what they are.
