quade 4 #3 May 26, 2009 My suspicion would be yes. I can easily see where people that have only ever used operating systems that actually make sense might not be familiar with the bizarre and byzantine keyboard command of "that" operating system which is otherwise known as the Devil's Spawn.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

If I got anybody, sorry... I'm bored. If you don't know what the heck were talking about, try it and report on the results. "Always do right. Another oldie but goodie is when someone walks away from their work computer for a few minutes (windows) right click the desktop View > Show Desktop Icons Then hide the start menu by dragging it to the top of the screen shrinking (grab the edge and drag) it and turning on Auto-Hide (right click > Properties > Auto-hide) For bonus points before doing anything else...Minimize everything, Ctrl + Print Scrn, open MS Paint, Ctrl + V, save, then change the background to that file. This will make it look as if the start menu and icons are there but they are really just a picture in the background image :) We used to have a folder in network storage that contained different screen captures of error screens, login screens, or funny pictures and play various versions of this prank. Just make sure you don't let them call tech support to help them fix the "problem"

jcd11235 0 #15 May 26, 2009 Quote but what part of the word window implies that I want to exit said window... Exiting the window isn't the point of the shortcut. Closing the window is. There's no need to close the window if all you want to do is exit it. That can be done with command-m (minimize current window), command-h (hide current application), command-q (quit current application), or even clicking on a different window, among other methods. Personally, I find keyboard "shortcuts" to typically be more time consuming than using my track pad, no matter what OS I'm using.Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials! Extra points, after that is done, LOCK the computer, move the locked screen out of the way... they will click and click and click and NOTHING will open... time will remain frozen too!
