ACMESkydiver 0 #1 May 28, 2009 ...is a VERY cool organization. They have chapters in the US and Australia: http://www.bacausa.com/ From their main website (edited by me for brevity): QuoteBACA also provides for the children by attending court proceedings and escorting them to and from school or errands if necessary. One of the greatest and unique assets of BACA for the children is its biker family attitude. Bikers are a tightly knitted group. The brotherhood and family values are not just a way to live, but a way of life. When a large group of bikers ride to a childs house to support and honor that child, and the bikers tell that child that he/she does not need to be scared anymore because the bikers are there and will be there under any circumstances, the children feel the security of a brotherhood. Children understand that child abusers are cowards that prey on the helpless. After children have been adopted into the BACA family they are not helpless or powerless anymore. We had the privilege of meeting some of these ladies and gentlemen from our local chapter at a coffee shop across from our RJC. They explained that if an abused child needs to testify against their attacker in court, they will escort them to the courthouse, flood the courtroom with bikers, and give the child a sense of security while they have to face the person that abused them during their testimony. That is HUGELY important. Many kids are too afraid to face their abuser in court, and unfortunately, as the law stands (perhaps in Washington state only, I don't know how it is in other states) the defendant has a right to be present during the victim's testimony. Anyhoo, I know we have some bike enthusiasts here on the boards. Just thought if you had the time and inclination, you might lend your presence sometime, somewhere to a child that needs to feel the love. Cool video about them only a few seconds long.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

ACMESkydiver 0 #3 May 28, 2009 In the looney bin. They just let me out yesterday. -Sometimes it feels like it, anyway...I've been dealing with some life challenges. No time to play with my online buddies. Life will get better though. It always does. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
