nerdgirl 0 #1 May 28, 2009 After dinner with a few close female friends (from outside the skydiving community) last weekend, one of them asked for input (essentially advice) on an ongoing discussion with her boyfriend. He asked if she would be willing to have a 3-way with another woman. She’s game to try … but she wants him to be willing to take part in a 3-way with another man too. They’re both in their mid-thirties. They’ve been living together for a few years and dating for about five years. So what do you think? Reasonable request? Outrageous? Curious what others might have suggested, especially the guys. /Marg … sitting in National airport, waiting to go home… Act as if everything you do matters, while laughing at yourself for thinking anything you do matters. Shotgun 1 #7 May 28, 2009 Sounds reasonable to me, if it's something that they both really want to do - not just one agreeing to do it because the other really wants to. I'm sure they both realize that there are risks involved, so I guess they just have to decide if they think it will be worth it.

tigra 0 #9 May 28, 2009 Reasonable request- good for the goose and all that- but I agree with the "doomed relationship" comment also. I don't think too many couples can survive bringing 3rd parties into their beds without jealousy, insecurity and other issues. Sure there are exceptions, but they are exceptions .............. His now ex-wife ended up privately banging one of the guys they would swing with, without telling my friend. Lots of drama ensued... and now he doesn't go to the same swing parties anymore... Well, I think that the couples who bring 3rd parties into their beds are exceptions to begin with. And I think we're all more likely to hear about the ones that don't work out than the ones that do - drama and all that. I don't know. It certainly has the potential to go horribly wrong, but it also has the potential to make them closer - if it's something that they are both truly interested in and OK with. Personally, most of my experiences with jealousy have had little or nothing to do with actual sex.
