crazydiver 0 #1 August 17, 2005 I have a PD 126 and wondering if anyone has experience putting it into a Javelin RS. I've put one in an NJ before and it wasn't too much trouble, but the RS is a bit smaller. The sunpath website reccomends a 106-120. I can pack my 106 in there fine, but i'm tryin to build a second rig. How about a PD 126 into a Mirage MXS? Any thoughts or experiences would be beneficial. Thanks. Spizzzarko 0 #2 August 17, 2005 Dude, It would be a really tight fit with that 126 in there, and the pilot chute may not sit correctly on the jav. I don't know if you saw us packing my 113 into my RSK-1, and it was a pain in the penis. Just imagine a 126 in the piece. I don't know anything about mirages, ask Justin the tandem dude up there at Mile Hi. Grant
mysky 1 #3 August 17, 2005 I have a 113 in an MX and it's super tight. I cannot see putting a 126 in that container. I suppose it's also were your at in the country. I'm in Arizona so it's a little bit tougher with no humidity but I can't imagine that 126 going into that rig without a fight. I previously owned Sunpath products and had an NJ with a 126 and that worked alright but worked even better in the TJN I had. It also will depend on the main your putting in. What type of main do you have? My NJ with a Vengeance 120 and 126 reserve was too tight. NJ with a 103 Velocity and 126 reserve was perfect. Now I have a MX with a Katana 120 and PD113 Reserve an it's like a glove. MX 1/2 with a Velocity 103 and PD113 Reserve and it's also a perfect fit. There are 3 kinds of people in this world, those that know how to count, and those who don't.
crazydiver 0 #4 August 17, 2005 Right now I have a crossfire 2 97. I have a velo 84 on the way which should also pack up similarly. I figured the 126 would be too tight, but I didnt know if anyone had experience with that. Thanks for the input guys. Cheers, Travis
brits17 0 #5 August 17, 2005 I have a Tempo120 in my Mirage MXS (no cypres). Its tight now, with a cypres in there its a brick. Squeezing a PD 126R in there would be very difficult, and it would probably distort the container making it bulky. A 113 would be the largest PD reserve recommended for the MXS. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
Tonto 1 #6 August 18, 2005 Mirage sizing chart says for MXS... Crossfire 89 - Loose Crossfire 99 - Medium PD 106 R - Medium PD 113 R - Snug I don't think a 126 will go without creating other issues. tIt's the year of the Pig.
skycat 0 #7 August 19, 2005 I have a MXS and the PD 113 is very tight, there is no way a 126 would fit in there. I can even say I have first hand knowledge of this, I packed it once. Fly it like you stole it!
