floridadiver81 0 #1 June 5, 2009 Hey all. I found them on craigslist and although I checked them on ripoffreport.com and that came up with nothing. They recruit worldwide so I wanted to see if anyone here has heard of them or even better used them? Everything looks great except when um placed with a job after the training they take 20% of my pay for the first 60 working days. According to what I'm told I will be getting paid its still more than I make now...after the 60 days its going to be sweet! Anyways if anyone has any info on them I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :)"Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! porpoishead 8 #2 June 5, 2009 what sort of job training???? offshore companies are always hiring giving up 20% of an off shore check for two months is one helluva tax...that's 4 checks minimum offshore check is 80 hrs reg and 88 hrs overtime for 2 weeks. even at only $20 an hour thats only $4240.00 minus uncle sams 30% ($1272.00) that leaves you with $2968.00 and the take 20% (593.60) leaves you with only $2374.00 $593.60 x 4 = $2374.00 there is no fucking way in hell that I would do a 2 week hitch for $2374.00.... 4 times in a row even lessif you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
floridadiver81 0 #3 June 5, 2009 Yeah but even at that amount its signifigantly more than I'm making now. I'm not sure what the hours would be yet. I'm a single guy with no kids so I don't have any ties."Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! FlyingJ 0 #4 June 5, 2009 I just looked at the website. It doesn't look like a company offering employment, but instead a company you can pay to give you information about possible employers. Looks like they have some kind of training program, but it mentions "preparing you for work with a variety of employers."Killing threads since 2004. porpoishead 8 #5 June 10, 2009 right on bud, the hours I listed are minimum. if you are offshore you will get a minimum of 12hrs of pay everyday, whether you do any work or not just for being there... that's 8reg and 4OT everyday, with 12OT saturday and 12OT on sunday...1week=40reg 44OT MINIMUM by law certainly you can work more it's not out of the ordinary to do 16hr and 18hr shifts out there. what I was getting at is offshore companies will hire and train you themselves, without gouging your check for you. seems like the company you are referring to is simply getting you your basic certs to go offshore like marine survival training, helicopter underwater egress and safety, first aid, rigging, T.W.I.C. card, safe gulf...etc. then just letting you go to whatever company they chose or is ringing their phones off the hook...you might end up doing something you will not like chose for yourself what it is that you are interested in doing, and hire on with an offshore company that does it...they will put you through the same required training at no cost to you..and your check is yours. pm me if you want, let me know what you know how to do, I can get you on a boat, rig, barge whatever bro... or at least point you in the right directionif you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
