Alligators.............

Recommended Posts

I just received a call from my sister that they caught an alligator in the drainage ditch. (her and 4of her neighbors) Apparently her neighbor was mowing her lawn and a 3-4ft alligator started hissing and coming towards her so she ran screaming to my sisters house. When they call the people(alligator people) to come get it they were told they only come out if the gators are 5ft or bigger. WTH! This neighborhood is full of kids who play in the front yards and the city wont get the damn thing cause it is under 5ft. Something is very wrong with that dont you think?:S

Just housebreak it ... Put it on a leash and start walking it every day. You do live in FL. Don't you guys have pet alligators down there?
Serious relationships turn into work after a few weeks and I already got a fucking job :)

Kill it and Grill it!

Gator tail is tasty!

Key lime garlic and black pepper with Extra Virgin Olive oil make a great marinade for skewers full of tasty meat!

Cook them over a hardwood charcoal grill

Or catch it, with a loop and noose, tape its mouth shut, wrap it in wet towels and take it to the nearest wildlife area.

A city reporter might be interested in that!

I was thinking the same thing! Hell, we pay a shit load in taxes and so on to have these removed and they they wont come out unless it is over 5ft.

If it was a dog chasing someone you know the dog catchers would be there within 30 minutes.

This little guy? I wouldnt worry about this little guy.

I agree with the leash idea, I had a friend that had a gator as a pet for several years. Freaked me the fuck out.

Picture this in your head....I am still laughing at the way it was told to me....:D

the neighbors caught it. They had a few long sticks one had chicken tied to it the other stick they used to push the alligator out of the drainage ditch(under the driveway)and they caught it in a dog carrier thing.. 4 females and a off duty cop....

What I would have done to sit in a lawn chair with a beer and watch this...

Actually, that's against the law here.

I have a friend who got arrested for that. There was an alligator in the canal behind his and his neighbor's houses where a gator lived and pets kept disappearing. They made multiple calls to the authorities and couldn't get anyone to come out, so he took matters into his own hands and killed it. Well, one of the other neighbor's got wind of this and called the cops. He ended up having to do quite a few hours of Community Service.

It is also against the law to catch them. The cop who lives two doors down was the one who was taking the alligator to a place name princess preserve to let it go.

Actually, just about every suggestion so far is illegal here. I think the LEAST illegal is "kill it and grill it" but you first have to get a hunting license, win a lottery, and then find him during hunting season. By then he'll likely be 5 ft. and you can call the nuisance gator guys. We have one about this size in our pond and he don't bother nobody. He's even afraid of the cows. (But I certainly wouldn't try to pick him up.)

They should catch a bunch of alligators and release them on the green during Professional golf tournaments.

My stepdad is into golf & watches these on TV. Boring as hell. If the golfers had to fight off alligators with their clubs, it would liven things up a lot more. Probably get more viewers as well.

a 3-4ft alligator

A 4-foot gator is about two feet of tail, one foot of body, and one foot of head. That's really not any threat to humans at that size. And they avoid people anyway, unless some idiots have been hand feeding them. You did right to just catch him yourself and relocate him. People are too darned dependent upon the government to do everything, when neighbors should just band together like the good old days to handle neighborhood problems.

Ahhh yes, a visit by the Beer Cart Girl is my favorite part of a round of golf. Thank you for all that you do to help increase the quality of life of your fellow citizens. ;) FORE!
