skittles_of_SDC 0 #1 June 16, 2009 How does a news story about people complaining about how ugly their wheelie rubbish bins are in one town count as WORLD news? If that's all you guys have to worry about over there you are in pretty good shape. Crazy BBC. edited to change some terminology to the Queens English. Then you'd have BBC America and you'd know what I was talking about. Not to mention it would probably remind you of home. Then maybe you wouldn't be so angry. Andy_Copland 0 #13 June 16, 2009 Little known fact i thought i'd share. Statistically its shown that a British bin comapred to an American trash can can weigh up to 63kg's less, thats about 140lbs give or take. The grease per square inch is that much lower. This also brings down the number of cases of binmen having to go into hospital to have their crumbling spines fixed.1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. How positively civilized of you. Me? I'm my own "binman." I have to load it into bins, load the bins onto my own lorry & then off-load it MYSELF at the transfer station. I guess it's just one of the costs of living as a rural colonial, like lawn mowing: It could take me as long as 10 hours to do the whole property, most of that with a 5 foot wide mower. When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
