DavidB 0 #57 June 20, 2009 Don't know about where you are, but it's Saturday morning here. That means we're just becoming coherent after Friday night. Add the fact that it's raining here, AGAIN, and the earliest it looks like we'll be out of this constant threat of rain we've been in for the last 2 months is next weekend... maybe. Seriously, we haven't gone more than 3 days without rain for at least 2 months here. That might normal for the Pacific northwest, but it's damned unusual for NJ! My lawn hasn't been cut in 6 days, it's rained for 5 of those, there's standing water in a couple spots (soil is 6 inches of topsoil then sand, so it does drain), & it needs cutting again. Last week it took me 3 hours to complete (usually only takes 1.75-2). When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

If I was religious or superstitious, I would think that someone is making sure I don't feel like I'm missing out on jumping ... Very depressing though, even for an injured person mostly confined to the indoors ... Oh ... I wasn't out drinking last night ... so all of you drunk heads, WAKE UP!!! My lawn was just cut the other day and it already could use a trim... I need to fertilize and it hasn't been dry enough!!! The day is probably shot weather-wise anyway so I'm hoping for some wicked thunderstorms!!Always be kinder than you feel.
DavidB 0 #61 June 20, 2009 We've just had a steady, soaking, rain, but I see where a few good ones went over you. Looks like you might even get a break soon. I'm still waiting, & it may be late this afternoon before I can get the garbage out to the transfer station & not get too wet. Otherwise there seems to be no end to the low scuzzy clouds moving east to west while the high scuzzy clouds move west to east. CK's Twitter @ 9:45am said they got one load up before the rain moved in... but also said the forecast is for clearing this afternoon. If it clears I'll head over but not until then... I'm a lazy sucker today!! You're only up in Mount Holly, right?Always be kinder than you feel.
