NewGuy2005 53 #1 July 3, 2009 Just plugged a new mic into my machine and the machine does not hear it. It's turned on. It's plugged into the right jack. My speakers work fine so my drivr and sound card must be working. Any ideas?

DSE 5 #4 July 3, 2009 it may be that your microphone requires a preamp. could be that your microphone and your soundcard have an impedance mismatch, could be that your "what you hear" isn't enabled in your audiocard setup, lotsa possiblities. post more detail?
