d_squared431 0 #17 July 24, 2009 I was going to have chix breast, salad, and rice. 30 minutes into making dinner a storm hit and and all the power went out. The power at my house won't be back on until about 823pm per the power company. I broke out the camping stove(ultralight single burner) and made egg sammiches for the kids. They thought that was super cool. Then I had to figure out how to open the garage without the remote control clicker to get my car out...lol My chix is cooked and I am sitting at my sisters house two blocks away watching tv. I will head home in 20-30 more minutes.... jcd11235 0 #21 July 25, 2009 Quote Ramen- my shift started early and I just can't do the messhall bland stuff. Oh well I had good food while on leave That's surprising to read. I don't think I ever ate so well, so often as I did in the (US) Army. Breakfast daily was an omelette (or other eggs to order) sausage or bacon, hash browns, french toast, pancakes, biscuits, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, milk, danishes & lots more. Lunch would vary daily, but might be italian pasta, barbeque, or steak & shrimp (which was served every Friday). I could easily spend $50 each day and not eat as well. Sorry to hear the food sucks now. Better you than me. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Made grilled teriyaki chicken Caesar salads with a couple of them for our dinner. Pretty damed good with a Woodbridge chardonnay out on the deck with ice cold watermelon for dessert.
