It sucks when they are misleading, dishonest, unfaithful, or impossible to work with. Not everything in life HAS to go the way you want, learn to negotiate. Some people have no way but theirs. Relationships are give and take. Why would you want to have a relationship with someone exactly like you. boring! Some folks will be alone for a loooong time.
