happythoughts 0 #1 August 2, 2009 Weather Forecasters. How do you get this scam job? Todays forecast. 8am partly cloudy 11am partly cloudy 2pm thunderstorms 5pm thunderstorms Actual weather? Not one stinkin' cloud all day long. Totally clear. How wrong can you be and still keep your job? Apparently, completely. Tomorrows forecast? Same as today. Who knows... riddler 0 #3 August 2, 2009 After living in Denver for 36 years, I've figured out the secret to weather forecasting here. 1. Look outside the window. Whatever it's doing now, is the current weather. 2. That will continue to be the weather through tomorrow. 3. Sunny for the rest of the week. Go to school, drink yourself into a stupor for four years, and get a worthless degree in meteorology. If you're an 7+ on the attractive scale, and can read a tele-prompter, get a job with a news organization, request a few million dollars for "Computer models" (that really cost $50, and just check the NOAA site), and spend it all on more alcohol. When it's time for you to go "live", just follow the three steps above.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
shropshire 0 #4 August 2, 2009 A couple of years ago, there was an advert on the telly for a car .... The weather man gave dire weather conditions and suggested that everyone stay at home .... so at the end of the advert he had the roads all to himselkf and went for a total blast (.)Y(.) chris03852 0 #5 August 2, 2009 Could be worse. All summer here in New Hampshire every time I have looked at the 10 day forcast only 1 day without some type of rain. That one day is always on a day I am working (only work 3 days a week).
