Nataly 38 #26 August 3, 2009 Quote Quote I read less and less & consider it a real treat to open up a book.. All-time favourites include A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush Agree. Very good read! /Marg Not very well known, but an absolutely awesome book. Really, really enjoyed it. FlyingJ 0 #27 August 3, 2009 Currently reading The Alienist by Caleb Carr again. Have read it a couple dozen times over the last 10 years and get something more out of it each time. Excellent historical fiction circa late 1800s in NYC. Follow up Angel of Darkness is a pretty awesome read too. Read lots of historical fiction, and then like to read up on some non-fiction from the same era to see how accurate the non fiction was. The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt is one of my favorite non-fiction books I've read. Reads like a novel, which you can't say about many biographies. I read Catcher in the Rye a few times a year, and also My Side of the Mountain. Both books from childhood that had big impacts on me.Killing threads since 2004.
