LisaH 0 #6 August 6, 2009 Is it a heavy traffic area? You should factor that in when deciding what kind. I love the feel and look of dichondra, (not really grass), but it can't handle a lot of traffic. It's fun to roll in. Be yourself! MooOOooOoo
skydived19006 4 #7 August 6, 2009 QuoteI was talking about Tiff vs Zoysia If you have the sun, go with Buffalo! You won't be spending time mowing the damn yard on the weekend. Or unlike me, your place won't look like a crack house because your yard is so out of control due to you always being at the airport! I'm don't talk in public about the "other grass."Experience is what you get when you thought you were going to get something else. AC DZ
warpedskydiver 0 #8 August 6, 2009 There are some really fine fescues and they hold up pretty well. I have some in my yard and it is very soft and feels great on the feet. It looks and feels like newly sprouted grass.

It won't be a HIGH traffic area but occaisionaly, it will have high traffic. LongWayToFall 0 #14 August 6, 2009 White Widow, now there is a classic. WW is to our generation what skunk was to the 80s, almost. Ever try Peak 19? Hands down my fav of all time, although I have only sampled a couple batches and the latter ones were not that great. That first one though... Wow. Purple Urkle, Trainwreck, Blue Dot, Hindu Kush, California Big Bud, Kali Mist..... All very well suited to high traffic areas.
