JohnMitchell 16 #26 August 11, 2009 Quote Eat the carrot. I've heard that one. I've also heard some people eat their carrots from the fat end.Years ago, I knew jumper with over 50 jumps, still landing downwind, crosswind, you name it. Finally her boyfriend hollered "You landed downwind again. Why?" She said "No I didn't. I had my butt pointed at the windsock the whole time!" In her FJC, the instructor used the image of, if you were landing right in front of the windsock, you could stick your butt into the mouth of the windsock. Somehow this woman heard it slightly differently. No, she wasn't blonde.I've spent years trying to get people to face into the wind. It's definitely a challenge to teach them all. Always point your tail the same way the windsock is pointing its tail. Pretty easy, huh? Eat the carrot. But what if . . . and it was a light day, but they decide to "fishline" the windsock so it reads different? I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
