How much should I expect to pay for rig assembly/reserve pack?

Just thought I'd find out what's about average to get my new Infinity assembled, the Fusion 210 installed, and the Smart 220 installed and packed. They won't be here for another 6-7 weeks, but I'm getting antsy

Every rigger's different. Standard inspection and repack, $50. Assembly, $25 <--- also includes hooking up the main and packing. Thats just me.

At our DZ it's $100. That covers inspection of all components, assembly and pack of the main and reserve. This is with a cypres. $15 bucks less without.

IMHO, If you want the best deal, with a ready to jump sweet ass rig when it arrives on your door step, send your main, reserve and AAD to VSE and have them do the assembly at their loft.

Ya know... that's not a bad idea. The thought hadn't even crossed my mind.

incidentally, I won't be getting a Cypres for a couple months, how much of a pain in the ass is it going to be to have that installed after the rig is assembled, etc?

It's pretty simple, but the reserve container needs to be opened. I'd expect to pay for a repack and a small installation fee.

If thats the case, it will probably be winter when you get your AAD. I'd have to say just wait until the reserve is due for a repack and then have the AAD installed.

That's probably what I'll do. The only reason I'd have 'em crack it open beforehand is if I go back home before my first repack, since Australia requires AADs now.

If thats the case, like Indyz said, it may cost you a repack to get it installed.
Not many riggers will reseal another riggers pack job after installing an AAD, withour repacking the reserve.

I'll open, install an AAD, and re-close the reserve if I packed it last for no charge. I figure I don't want money to be a factor in safety.

A full assembly is $100. It is time consuming and a lot of work.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'm gonna have the reserve and main shipped right to VSE, so it arrives as a cohesive, jumpable rig
