freelyflyn71 0 #1 July 23, 2005 My wife wants an all purple main with a pink flower in the middle w/yellow center on flower! Hmm, anyway, what would something like that cost? I've seen many custom canopies similar to this...anyone had a design like this done? The Braver the Bird...The Fatter the Cat.
justinb138 0 #2 July 23, 2005 I've heard it's very, very expensive.
freelyflyn71 0 #3 July 23, 2005 I'm wondering if it's screen print like a t-shirt, or something similar...like my Raven main says "Raven" above the stabilizers... The Braver the Bird...The Fatter the Cat.

If I remember correctly, the design must be sewn on, hence the cost. Asking someone at PD would probably be your best bet.... Unless it's a logo for a business or demo or something, it's just doesn't seem practical...

Viking 0 #7 July 23, 2005 How many jumps does your wife have? I'd think twice before buying her a firebolt. Graphics can easily double (or more) the price of a canopy. I remember someone talking about a canopy PD had made with a bunch of custom work on it and it was something like $5000 when it was all said & done.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
Hackb431 0 #9 July 23, 2005 I recently got a quote to add a custom graphics to the bottom of a 190 canopy for an additional $800 to give you an idea.HackB A.K.A. "Puppy"
matthewcline 0 #10 July 24, 2005 Call Flight Conepts International. They make a lot of custom mains and do it at a very reasonable price. They do several of the US Military teams logos on the large and small canoopies. The military logos can be very complicated and they all come out looking great. LouDiamond 1 #11 July 24, 2005 I second Sid's suggestion. All of my Firebolt Canopies have logos on them, to include my tandem main. But like it has been said, it won't be cheap. Sewn on logos can also increase pack volume."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
freelyflyn71 0 #12 July 24, 2005 Thanks for all your suggestions! I think she might reconsider the flower idea now, as for the Firebolt, I was under the impression that it was a docile canopy when loaded at manufaturer specs, much like the Spectre.
