FlyingJ 0 #1 August 16, 2009 Type in "work at home" on the internet and you could spend the next decade sorting through the results. I'm working a couple different jobs as an EMT, both of which include significant amounts of downtime that I can spend any way I wish. I'm hoping to find some kind of "work from home" data entry type gig that I can pick up on the side to both fill some of that time and also bring in some extra cash. Anyone have any experience with any of these data entry, etc. operations out there? I have no doubt that 99.9% of them are probably scams, but I figure there has to be some legit info out there! Any suggestions much appreciated!!! JasonKilling threads since 2004.
BillyVance 35 #2 August 16, 2009 I'd like to know too. My wife is now making more money at her state job than I ever will in my field (CAD design and drafting), so we made the economical choice for her to keep her job and I take care of the girls at home. We could always use a little more cash, but of course we can't afford full-time day care for two girls. I definitely need flexibility time-wise."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Andy9o8 2 #3 August 16, 2009 Billy are you qualified to do ASL/speech interpreting? If so, there are often subcontracting jobs out there. Court systems, community theatres, churches, social services agencies, etc. Hire yourself out as a freelancer. Of course, if you really need "at-home", then I suppose this doesn't help much. Just trying.

Just trying. I do have an intermittent job as a SSP. Support Service Provider, giving deaf and blind clients rides to shopping, airports or going to appointments and hand-in-hand interpreting whenever needed. It's only about a once-a-week thing and I do have to have my girls covered before I can do that."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
councilman24 37 #5 August 17, 2009 Rigging? Not that I've had a lot of time for that lately. But may be making the same choice in the near future. Not so much based on income but on job availability.I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
