Twoply 0 #1 August 24, 2009 I havent been burned in a few years, but I remember post burn, a few days later when it was healing, I'd get the most intense ithyness on the burned areas. Is it because it's healing or what?
format 1 #2 August 24, 2009 Itchies are entertaining, especially when you're burned naked I say it's a natural side effect of healing What goes around, comes later.
LuckyMcSwervy 0 #3 August 24, 2009 If you pop a Benadryl it may help with the itchies. That's what I do. it really seems to help me a lot. Good luck. Always be kinder than you feel.

davjohns 1 #5 August 24, 2009 Ditto what D2 said. Also, I understand the itching is your body encouraging you to scratch to shed the dead skin. You can help neutralize the acids that cause the itchiness with a bath including oatmeal. Put the oatmeal in a sock or other such device to prevent it going down your drains.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Might help you sleep too. diphenhydramine hcl is marketed as both an anti-histamine and a sleep aid (Nytol, Tylenol PM) at the same dosage. For some activities you may prefer something like Claratin
