PLFXpert 0 #1 October 13, 2009 This is an unlimited-response thread. I.e. It can be something money_can_buy or not. And "rich" is ambiguous in itself, anyway... While, I have many more answers, what prompted me to begin this thread is my kitty. Every time I scoop him up, I feel rich. To me, he is so luxurious. Friends and family fancy his beyond-silky-smooth fur. He lets me do anything to him. When he closes his eyes upside-down in "baby position" and purrs, I melt; I know most people do not have a silky fluffball that purrs in baby-position. My God, I love that cat. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

airtwardo 7 #6 October 13, 2009 Bear with me here...It's an hour commute each way, but there's about a 10 mile stretch of highway I drive every time on the way home from the DZ, that makes me feel 'rich'. Just coming up on the city of Houston, an hour or so after sunset with the top down and the wind & music roaring in my ears...the city lit up, no place I 'have' to be, just had a glorious day in the sky with friends. No amount of money can 'buy' that feeling, nothing I've ever found can replace it. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

RhondaLea 4 #18 October 14, 2009 Today I felt rich because... I've moved around a lot in my life, and each and every time, I've done the packing and moving myself. I hate it! Tomorrow I'm moving again--from Texas back to New Jersey--because my husband (who makes me feel blessed rather than rich, except when I'm thinking I should feed him to the fire ants) got a new job. So today, I got up and made tea. Then I sat on the couch while two lovely and efficient women packed around me. That made me feel rich. Apart from that, I have a very long list of very small and simple things that make me feel rich every day. And concurrent with all that richness, I feel blessed to have a beautiful grandson and a wonderful daughter. The cherry on top is three crazed kitties that never cease to amuse and amaze me.If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from.
