quade 4 #2 September 9, 2009 Of course, BEFORE hundreds of millions get infected and we actually KNOW the percentage of people that can die from it, it kind of does make a bit of sense to be careful about it.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

I think I had it, it sucked, but it was less than the flu I had several years ago.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

MikeJD 0 #5 September 10, 2009 Not to hijack the thread, but I was browsing through the pictures of odd injuries (mostly x-rays) on that same web page, and came across this caption: "When a friend told 27-year-old Kong Lin of eastern China a joke, Lin laughed so forcefully that he swallowed a 4-inch long pair of scissors he was using as a toothpick." Sounds like he's ok, so I don't feel too bad about laughing out loud when I read that. Luckily I wasn't picking my teeth with scissors, or indeed anything else, at that moment. It's going to be a while, but eventually, we'll all have to learn the Japanese bow as a greeting. And we'll probably be wearing their facemasks while doing it.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. But far more deadly than skydiving. "The CDC estimates that 1 million people in the U.S. have had swine flu so far, and of those infected, the government has documented 593 deaths."If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. My hubby had a REALLY bad year this year. He is on an immunosuppressant, because they originally were getting him ready for a double lung transplant. His lung doc told him to stay away from sick people, but if he got sick to PRAY IT WAS H1N1, because not as many people are dying of it as will die of the regular seasonal flu.
