ltdiver 3 #27 October 18, 2009 One of my early childhood memories had me on stage, very much like this young lady is here. And yes, about 5 years old as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmi7yAwrEzc Music was a big part of my family's upbringing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

DavidB 0 #29 October 18, 2009 Here's one for you truly ancient east-coasters! The ONLY thing on TV Sunday mornings a 4-5 year old would enjoy (& damn did we enjoy it!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWuOxEEU1rM When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. pincheck 0 #31 October 18, 2009 some things are strange that stick in your head and the association with Childhood memories. For me its the smell of Road bitchumen (road tar freshly) Always takes me back to a hot summer in one place chasing the rag and boneman to get little things off for handing over junk or swinging from the back of the coal lorry as they slowly crept along making deliveries to all the houses in the street Funny how somethings trigger certain memories ! robskydiv 0 #32 October 18, 2009 One night, one of my coworkers brought in a cd with Peter Paul and Mary. As I sat in the office and listened to it, I can't describe the feelings it conjured up, it was very poignant. My sisters used to listen to them when I was a kid. (good feelings btw). When my mom was sick and had to go away for awhile, I had to stay at my uncle Bill's and Aunt Carol's place. Uncle Bill was an avuncular person. One day when he returned home from work he said: "Come here Harry, I want to show you somethi'n." We went out to the backyard and he threw something up into the air, soon descended a blue figure suspended underneath a round parachute. It floated to the ground. Coolest thing I had ever seen. I related this story to one of my sisters years later and she said: "I'm surprised you remembered that. You were two years old." It must have planted a seed.....
