Childhood Memories

Recommended Posts

All this talk about Where The Wild Things Are brought back many other great memories from my childhood. This song was one of many that popped into my head. What songs, shows, books do you remember loving as a child?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEEsX69iIxY&feature=related (I hope this is the song I'm thinking of. The laptop I'm currently using is even crappier than my computer that's getting fixed so there was no sound and the video didn't work very well for me.)

Actually, Kool-Aid was first.

Funny Face didn't come along until the mid 60's (67 is what I want to say). The first generation of Funny face didn't last very long at all before they renamed a few flavors & dropped others.

Sheriff John. He always put another candle on my birthday cake.
Hobo Kelly. She could fly.

Ok, ok, if you're going to mention Sherrif John and Hobo Kelly, then you GOTTA mention the best damn kid's show ever for mid-60s LA 8-year-olds . . . Shrimpenstein.

Was surprised to find this little gem on YouTube.

Well, ok, maybe not the best, but certainly stuck in my mind.
