LuckyMcSwervy 0 #4 October 20, 2009 Go to the movies (we have a pretty nice theater a mile from the DZ), go out for breakfast or lunch, watch skydiving videos, take pictures of people, cuddle up on the sofas in the hangar and take a nap, hang out in the hot tub when it's open for the season, some people have kites.. there's always something to do. Icon134 0 #7 October 20, 2009 Our dz has Wifi (so if you have a laptop you can surf) Additionally they have a couple of connected computers for anyones use (which is great for looking up weather) There are also two HDTV's with DirecTV along with couches/futons on the second floor for people to watch... And there are a couple of Cornhole boards and a basket ball hoop/ball floating around for people that would rather wait outside. personally I generally just socialize, visit with friends when I'm waiting around for any length of time...Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... One time the DZ was weathered out, and a couple of guys with extensive gun collections had a bunch with them, and we all had a blast doing target practice shooting sessions in the vacant overflow parking lot. Funniest moment was when our 5'-0" 100 lb DZO took aim with a shotgun, I had a feeling I knew what was gonna happen when she fired it, and stood about 3 feet right behind her. BLAMMO!!! She flew backwards right into my arms! We were laughing hysterically afterwards.
