Has anyone out there tried this it raised questions in my mind to be honest? Who knows with the way thinks are stowed now as to what it even accomplishes.

A lot of words but no pictures, drawing or even an explanation of what it is. I say "Bull Shit."

Looks pretty sketchy to me as well, but hey, if it's not risky, try it and let us know how it works out for you.

It seems the web site is delightly free of content. I saw sketches some time back. It looks like a large slider permanently attached to the connector links. The theory is that it catches air and partially deccelerates you prior to canopy inflation. How this really works in the burble over a jumpers back, remains to be seen. And of course anything that adds complexity to a parachute system needs to be able to prove benefits that outweigh the added complexity.

What is it? What does it look like...how does it work?

Aside from being void of any useful information...

The rings at the top of the site make it 'look' like it's associated with The Uninsured Relative Workshop?!

The thing is sort of a slider/Sail in the shape of a bananna.
It is attached with 4 rapide links to the top of the risers in a fixed position.
It is supposed to act like a small parachute over your head until the main is totally inflated!!!

Can you say "broken Neck or strangulation??!!!

From a safety point of view, I don't think this is any more dangerous than side-to-side (front riser) CRW cross-connectors. I wouldn't worry much about broken neck or strangulation.

I would worry more about the device catching the bottom corners of a reserve container.

Different animal!...
the cross connection has no inflation factor!
The broken neck or strangulation could happen after.
If that thing went to the right and the main canopy went to the left..... alot of different things could happen.

The thing is just ugly looking!

Did/does he have any test data on this thing or is it his speculation that it will work as advertised. I would like to see some video on a deployment using this device just to see how it affects other things such as the P/C, the bag and what it does to the effectiveness of the slider. The guy may be the next bearded man from the south, but I doubt it.
