TrophyHusband 0 #26 August 21, 2009 my discomfort is mearly a matter of penile positioning. it was a problem before i got the bike shorts. btw, how do you know what its like to put on a dirty diaper? OlympiaStoica 0 #27 August 21, 2009 Quote actually the problem isn't that it's too short, it's just too thick to make the bend over to the side. i didn't want to say that at first because i didn't want to make the other guys feel inferior. Thanks for another chuckle ... and considering I've been single (and celibate) for 4 months now, I better stay out of threads like this ... O

TrophyHusband 0 #30 August 21, 2009 QuoteAll of your weight needs to be on the sit bones, not your soft parts. i find myself shifting between the sit bones and the soft parts. i might try to move my seat forward a little to make it easier to keep my weight on the sit bones. i'm thinking this will take some of the weight off my wrists as well. it won't be the most aerodynamic position, but at this point i don't go real fast anyway. In general, start out with the saddle top level; If you find yourself bracing against the handlebars to keep from sliding off the front, raise the nose a bit. Alternatively, if you feel the soft parts supporting weight, lower the nose a bit. Remster 30 #33 August 22, 2009 Having your seat level is really important. And if you make changes, make VERY small changes in position: be it in angle (very very small changes there) or fore/aft position. All all that royder said is about right, except for the balm. Yuck. Seriously, it may work for you or not. I personally hate it. As far as shorts, here are my favorites: Performance bike Ultra, and Pearl Izumi Mircosensors. I do prefer the Pearl a little more, but they are almost twice the price (75 vs 125$) for the bibs. In the end, you should be pretty comfortable on close to any saddle for short rides. If you start doing alot of cycling, you may want to try and invest on a saddle that fits you best. It may not be the most expensive you try, but it would be worth it if it is! Quote the only difference between the two as far as i can tell is the color and the seat. Looks like the handlebars are not as wide, and the shifters are short reach too.Remster
usedtajump 1 #34 August 22, 2009 I had a problem similar to yours so I went to Walmart and bought a rectangular bicycle seat, replaced the factory torture device and now no more "discomfort". Has added many more miles to my rides. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Or kielbasa? I don't want to open that picture. My wife is hotter than your wife.
TrophyHusband 0 #38 October 21, 2009 my penis is long enough now! i've lost 20 pounds and gained approximately 1/2 inch of weiner (by my wife's estimate, we haven't busted out the starret). when riding normally, there's no problems with real estate down there, but i recently added aerobars to my bike and i have a new problem. when i'm riding in the aero postion, it feels like a simultaniously have to pee and that I have a big turd not quite knocking on the back door, but just coming around the bend. or course when i get off the bike, i can't pee and when i get home, i don't have to drop a duece. i suspect it has something to do with the front of my seat and my prostate via my taint, but i'm not sure whether to tilt it down, move it back, or both.
