pilotsR4pimps 0 #1 October 26, 2009 What time zone do you guys fall under? I was just talking with a friend who was telling me you have your own but then maps show that your whole state is a part of central zone and then other maps show that your primarily eastern zone with the two upper and lower left corners of the state in central zone. IanHarrop 42 #2 October 26, 2009 I found this: http://www.timetemperature.com/tzus/indiana_time_zone.shtml 80 eastern Indiana counties are in the Eastern Time Zone 12 western Indiana counties are in the Central Time Zone"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

That map is just simply incorrect. MOST of Indiana is on Eastern Time Zone. When you get to counties close to Chicago (Northwest) or down by Evansville (Southwest) they are on Central Time. The fact that we now change our clocks to observe daylight savings time is relatively new. Until a couple years ago we spent half the year on Central Time (summer) and the other half of the year on Eastern Time (winter). But I guess we no longer wanted to confuse people so we conformed and now spring forward and fall back. Whats up Pilot? Where are you going or what has you in the need for our messed up time zoning? "What time is it in Indiana?" Depends on where you are! :)Kim Mills USPA D21696 Tandem I, AFF I and Static Line I
pilotsR4pimps 0 #6 October 26, 2009 I figured!!! Most of the maps I saw had the two western corners in central but just wanted to make sure. I actually have no desire to go to Indiana. No offense. Me and a friend were just talking about it for some odd reason. Thanks though
