2 weeks after crashing my Harley...

Recommended Posts

(1) My bruises are gone

(2) The insurance company has written-off my bike (would have cost £8000 to replace the 50 components that were identified as broken ... just for parts:S:S )

Now I'm waiting for their offer....

Oh, I'm glad..

Don't take their first offer, though.. They always start low and hope you will just take it.

Buy the bike back from the insurance company. My dad just did this, the bike was totaled and he got it for $500. $500 in parts later, it is going again. Most of the damage was minor cosmetic stuff. The exhaust for example, we just wrapped in the ceramic tape. Be sure to look at the list of damaged parts, and determine what you have/want to replace and add it up.

I plan on asking (the engine looks O.Kish) but nothing is cosmetic when a lorry hits your bike at motorway speeds!!!
