Squeak 17 #1 November 2, 2009 So 4 days ago, sitting in a guest house in Mong Kok, Hong Kong watching the news/weather i note that Beijing will be 10-20 degrees Celsius (50-68F)for the next week, Nice Autumn weather. So we board the train at 3pm for a 24 hour train ride to Beijing, nice train very compfy. At about 2pm the next day i spy out the window and it's frigging snowing, I figure well maybe we're at altitude and Beijing will be fine, 'cause you don't get snow at 20COne hour later we pull into Beijing West Rail station and it's covered in snow The weather peeps lied to me, THE BASTARDS. Today we have to go and find jackets and gloves because we sent all our warm bulky clothes home months ago.Looking at either a 2 day train or flying into Tibet also (it WILL be cold there) Life is pretty sweet when you are meYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! JohnMitchell 16 #4 November 2, 2009 Damn, that's an early snow. Just gotta wonder, what color the snow is in Bejing, considering the air was always murky brown when we visited. Are you going to see the usual sights and sites before you head off to Tibet? Keep having fun, you globe trotters.
