BillyVance 35 #1 December 13, 2009 Alabama Sophomore Running Back Mark Ingram! It was the closest vote in Heisman trophy history (75 years). I think he won by 27 or 28 votes over Toby Gerhart of Stanford. I figured Gerhart or Colt McCoy deserved it more since they were seniors. Let's hope this does not jinx Alabama's bowl game. Heisman winners have lost 7 of the last 8 bowl games. I would rather see Alabama win a national title than one of their players win the Heisman any day. Ingram is the first player from Alabama to win it. Best thing about this is that he's not the only outstanding player on the Alabama team. 4 players are 1st team All-Americans, and freshman RB Trent Richardson just might become a Heisman winner before he's finished too. He is that damn good as well."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

AggieDave 6 #6 December 13, 2009 I'm not an Aggie "fan," I am an Aggie. Regardless, Colt just isn't the caliber of a Heisman. He's OK but as the A&M/t.u. game showed, Jarrod Johnson can hold his own against Colt.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Correction noted, but I will say this, if Jarrod can rack those numbers up against the #2 team in the nation, he will be on next year's Heisman watch (if he has eligibility left)."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Maybe if A&M's offensive line grows up we'll have a football team next year too! That would be a nice change of pace. Our Jerrod has one more year left and if continues to improve and lead like he has been, I hope others take notice as well.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." futuredivot 0 #9 December 14, 2009 I hate to say it, but from what I've seen, I don't thing Georgia's got an answer for Jarrod. But I've got my bases covered. I've got the "12th Man" towel hanging up in my office from the A&M game Turtle took me to You are only as strong as the prey you devour
AggieDave 6 #10 December 14, 2009 Now when you watch the games, can you imagine the volume of the sound and the power of the crowd? Crazy huh? --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
