Gawain 0 #2 December 15, 2009 It would be awesome if a) they made a door for my particular BB (a Storm, which I don't think they will) and b) if using their battery doors didn't add a considerable amount of depth/thickness to it (which I think will come in time). That extra space then renders certain things I use as inoperable (charging dock, holster/case, etc). I think the "next generation" of this, where you can just put whatever you want on the mat, and it charges it (sans special case or sheath) is going to be the holy grail. That would be the sh*t right there. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! That would be the sh*t right there Agreed, I've been using the Otterbox Defender series for my BB which is a hard case cover with a hard plastic skin over that since I'm hard on cell phones. The hard cover case is pretty tight on the BB so I'm very doubtful the powermat charger would affix to the BB w/o my having to unwrap the skin and take the BB out of the hardcase each time. I hope the Power Mat folks get to a point where one can just drop a rechargeable device on it without any add-ons.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. I've read somewhere that GE/Phillips is working on something where a chip is embedded in the battery. All you do is place the battery on a compatible charging mat. I have a Palm Pre now with its Touchstone charger. It's pretty nice to be able to just place the phone and not have to mess with a tiny port and plug. I have found that charging through the Touchstone is slower than plugging it in.Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
