udder 0 #1 June 10, 2005 Is it possible to make a rig suited for a smaller person (5'10) fit me at 6'3? Im pretty skinny so width aint a problem. Can I send to a rigger or is it a manufacturer only sorta thing? If it can be done at all. Also, cost of mod/new harness? Pete"In one way or the other, I'm a bad brother. Word to the motherf**ker." AggieDave 6 #2 June 10, 2005 Yes, you can have a harness resized. A master rigger can do it or you can send it to the manufacture. My personal preference is to send it to the manufacture since its their design and they know how to properly size to your measurements for their rig, but that's just my personal preference. You may have a qualified master rigger handy to do the harness rebuild for you as well. Please call up the manufacture to chat with them for the full answer.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." EDYDO 0 #3 June 10, 2005 I sent one to Sunpath and one to North American. It costs a lot less to go down in size than to go up, but if your leg straps have a couple of extra inches, you could have it made. The only changes necessary in both cases was to change out the leg comfort pads. I paid about $150 for each rig including shipping and it was worth every penny!!! They put a BOC pouch on the one at North American for an additional $50. Ed Edited for spelling....again!!!
skybeergodd 0 #4 June 10, 2005 It can be done without question.....now the cost facter differs..... To enlarge a harness properly on a VGH harness requires more work and anytime you upsize a harness you can expect to pay anywhere from 400 to 600 dollars....that also includes leg straps.
