wmw999 2,566 #14 November 23, 2009 I'm kind of wondering how the following are counted: - posts that were originally in Bonfire but have moved (and its corollary, posts that started somewhere else but have moved to Bonfire) - posts that were originally in Bonfire but have been deleted by the poster - posts that were originally in Bonfire but have been hidden - posts that were originally in Bonfire but have gone to the recycle bin These are important issues to settle for a truly accurate count. Computer programming being kind of deterministic, there's probably only one answer to each of these questions. However, we can still argue about what the right answer should be Wendy P. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that posts made to The Bonfire count in the stats, regardless of what happens to them. I could make a post, then delete it before anybody replies to it, and I still get credit for the post in my post count."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Back then when you deleted your post, the post number went with it, if I remember correctly. Unless it was deleted in the middle of the thread, where a post will remain, just showing deleted. When a thread is deleted by a mod, it doesn't actually go away immediately. I think the count stays in the counter until it clears the recycle bin.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
