Introverts vs. Extroverts and the holidays

Recommended Posts

I was telling a friend how I enjoyed the holidays but I'm glad they're over because 4 days of activities were exhausting. She asked if I was introverted or extroverted. My answer was that it depends on who I'm with. She replied, "introverts get worn out by socializing, extroverts get energized". Do you agree with this statement?

I get exhausted by group social things. 1 on 1 or chillin with a couple friends is relaxing though.

And actually, when I'm tired I can't even group socialize worth a shit. I pretty much just go quiet and veg out. It's to the point where if I'm tired from the day there's no point on hitting the bar with the gang afterwards.

I think I'm more outgoing in a small group - I'm generally not a fan of crowds. I feel energised around my group of friends & exhausted in social situations where there are lots & lots of people.. So yeah, I guess it's true.. Neat!

Introverts function to make things happen.
Extroverts function while they are happening.

For the holidays, introverts are doing the work to create
the party. Extroverts are having fun at the party later.
Extroverts are still talking while the introverts are cleaning up later.

That is why introverts are the most tired.
