Free Video Editing Software?????? -help

Anyone know of a good free video editor? So far I have found the following but not sure which is the best. Any suggestions? I'm running windows XP.

It's a great (FREE) tool that I use for my video production students as an introductory software package. Easy to use and did I mention FREE??

Thanks I'm already using that and do like it, but I can't get it to upload Mpeg format???? It also isn't compatible with MP4 HD format off the GOPRO camera.

get the video in mp4, convert to what you need

Handbrake is a solid converter tool for the mp4 codec found from the GoPro. It'll even convert directly to VC1 or avi, which is what MovieMaker likes.
