You believe that it is being "nice" or "accepting of others". Some people depend on that. In high school, smaller guys would taunt/tease the bigger guys. When they finally tired of it, the defense was "...but it's only words". People need to grow out of that social technique. Adults have enough real-world problems without putting up with the tedious jibes of children during their free time. "Relationships are the sum of the events." That goes for online too. If everything that someone does online is to annoy. Then it is all annoyance. No value in that. The responses have been appropriate. I have friends here. Thank you for so eloquently stating exactly what I was thinking. There are many positive ways to express ones self, endless sarcastic insults grow tiresome and boring. If someone needs to constantly do that, it detracts from every one's enjoyment of a social group.
