amstalder 0 #1 January 6, 2010 Well, the first day went well I think. Overall my teachers seem ok. Only problem I see is that the school didnt give us the access code to access the accounting homework when they sold us the $210 (before taxes) textbook. (wouldve bought used had they released the ISBN number before the first day of the semester). I just received an email from my teacher with a link saying go buy the code for $60 if it didnt come with the book!

likestojump 3 #3 January 6, 2010 the workaround that worked for me for profs who did not release the ISBNs was to use unaffiliated bookstores located next to campus, their websites usually had the section # and profs name, and the book you needed to buy. I then copied the ISBN into half.com and saved a bunch.
amstalder 0 #4 January 6, 2010 Thats a good idea.... I shouldve just sucked it up and waited to order once I had the ISBN, but I HATE walking into a class without the textbook.
skymama 37 #5 January 6, 2010 Have you heard of renting textbooks? My kids used the site www.chegg.com last semester and saved a bunch of money. They were also able to sell books they bought at other sites before we found Chegg, so they got a credit on their accounts for those. It was real easy, all the books have been in good condition and they pay for shipping to send them back when the term is over. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
