Sharing / Gifting Airmiles

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if there is a way of sharing / or gifting miles without being charged?

AA wants to charge me $150.00 to share miles, plus a $30.00 service fee. At those rates I'd be better off just paying for the airfare.

Are you trying to share the full amount? If so, you can probably just trade miles for a ticket in the name of the person. I've had people give me a ticket with miles.

If it's only a partial amount I don't know.

My sister-in-law used some of her airmiles for tickets for my niece and nephew and I paid the rest on my CC. See if that can be done.
