Ketia0 0 #1 January 8, 2010 Thinking about the drive tomorrow to check out skydive houston. Anyone else going to be there?? I havent been to another DZ before, so what will I need to bring? Just my Rig, alti, goggles, helmet, logbook and license should suffice... huh?"In this game you can't predict the future. You just have to play the odds. wmw999 2,589 #2 January 8, 2010 Those should suffice. It'll be cold (for us at least), so don't expect it to be the best-attended day ever at SDH. Bring hot chocolate. Spend the rest of today looking at the "jumping in cold weather" threads. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Because of the cold, we may be drinking early. I'll show up to retrieve my reserve repack, and hook my main canopy back up. Then I may or may not jump depending upon how cold it is. Ketia0 0 #4 January 11, 2010 So i jumped there saturday. Was a really nice place! Cool people, cool enviroment. The S&ta, showed me around the DZ, and showed me the landing area. And for someone who is as shy as me, i actually got to talk to quit a abit of people, and got to do a 5 way! I botched it though. but it was my second time to do a big group jump and try and do something. the first time i did it, it broke out the door and we never got together. it was pretty cool flying in a group circle with the other people... Jumping from a PAC is nice. I love that climb rate!! All in all, i will deffiantly be going back there.. sucks its such a long drive! "In this game you can't predict the future. propacker 0 #5 January 11, 2010 Austin, for you first 5 way - you did pretty darn good. we took off a good exit - held a stable round, you moved in nicely to the center for the spider, and then you can look at it that WE floated on you going to the next point - (always try to find a way to blame someone else LOL) you'll be welcome back to join us any time you want.
