JohnRich 4 #1 January 15, 2010 How do I create an html document that can be e-mailed, without losing the photos? The html source currently points to a directory on my hard drive for the photos, and that's not available to the recipient when you e-mail the html document, so the photos come out blank. How do I transfer those photos along with the text, so that they'll display where they should within the text? Attached: How the document displays from e-mail, with the photo missing. Harmless 0 #3 January 15, 2010 place the images in a public place online somewhere and link to them... however like the above poster mentioned, why not just create a document in Word or something?"Damn you Gravity, you win again"

SkyBastard 0 #5 January 15, 2010 just have the images and html file in one folder and zip the folder up images et al and send that.Dude #320 "Superstitious" is just a polite way of saying "incredibly fucking stupid". DONK!
justinb138 0 #6 January 15, 2010 If it was me, I'd look at using something like PrimoPDF (free) to print the document to a PDF file and send it. You could print it from your web browser into the PDF format, or do something in MS Word, etc..
JohnRich 4 #7 January 15, 2010 Thanks for all the suggestions. My goal was to avoid having a gigantic file that would overburden some people's e-mail systems. By separating out the photos elsewhere, that makes the e-mail transmission quick and easy, and then it's up to their individual modem speeds to see the photos. I've loaded the photos to a public photo hosting web site, and changed the html document to point to those photos. E-mail tests show the document going through quick, and displaying properly by retrieving the photos from the public site. That seems to work well. I'm keeping the other ideas in mind too. I didn't know you could create a pdf file from html - I'll have to give that one a try too. Thank you for the help!
