AggieDave 6 #34 January 18, 2010 The SCR has grown to where its a right of passage for a young jumper. Its not something that you "earn" as much as 7 other people take you up, pin you out the door and build an 8-way for them. Its the largest formation that the young jumper has done so far and a big deal to the young jumper. Then you are initiated into the club after sunset in the pea pit, so you move on from your maggot status. You are then required to go out and learn the skills necessary to be able to bring the next generation of jumpers into the SCR club and pass the tradition along!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Our Star Crests are different to yours. Here it IS something you earn. You have to do 3 x 8-10ways and you have to dock 5th or later, in a safe and controlled manner to be awarded your Starcrest.
