mrwrong 0 #4 February 3, 2010 I was more thinking of that he deployed while he was still in that summersault.... NOT the best thing to do... I mean the margin of errors is narrow as it is.... And he just made it even more narrow... I see guys do it all the time, they deploy whilst coming out if the 'sault, i have no issue with it. and hardly what i would consider a Darwin nominee Now the fuckwit in front of me on my way home today, He was leaning down to get something from the passenger side floor, whilst driving on the freeway in traffic. one hand on the wheel and head below the dash trying to pick something up which was so important that he felt the need to jepodise not only his own life but all those around him. That fuck is a potential Darwin Award winner Okay.. Since I've never base´d myself I wont argue with you on that one.... Your description of that "fuckwit" is an almost identical description of an accident here in Sweden some years ago.... A woman driving home from work one afternoon... She placed her handbag on the floor of the passenger side and when the phone rang she bent down to pick it up.... The result was a head on collision.... She died and the other 2 critically injured...“The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing.” - George Bernard Shaw He who dies with the most toys, wins..... dudeist skydiver # 19515 Buy quality and cry once! TrophyHusband 0 #7 February 3, 2010 QuoteI was more thinking of that he deployed while he was still in that summersault.... NOT the best thing to do... i've seen lots of videos where base jumpers deploy in the middle of a summersault. that jump was pretty cool, but i want to see the bungecord-between-two-trees-and-a-four-wheeler-slingshot base jump. tjm 0 #11 February 3, 2010 He probably deployed because he was getting low. Deploying in the middle of a summersault is just fine. Once you pitch, the drag of the PC and the canopy coming out should keep you from over rotating too much.If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room! Hellis 0 #12 February 3, 2010 Funny, i watched this video a few days ago on Youtube. Even if it might look dangerous, i *think* he knows what he is doing. My first thought was also, idiot, but then i watched the other videos he got uploaded. And it seems he is a circus acrobat, and a good one too. So hanging/swinging ropes is probably not a big deal for him.
BillyVance 35 #13 February 3, 2010 After I read your post, I figured maybe the dude had deployed way too low, but after reviewing the video, he seems high enough, he was under canopy for quite a bit...
