Boris73 0 #1 January 20, 2010 I passed my motorbike test about January last year, that means I have 6 points to last me for 2 years. December last year I got flashed by a speed camera, I thought bollocks 3 points and a £60 fine not to mention the insurance increase. Fortunately they gave me the option to do a speed awareness course for £60 ( which is on 3rd March). Today I was stuck behind 2 cars going really slow, I thought fuck this and started to over take the cars. As I passed the first one, and got level with the second one, I noticed a van parked up level with me, on the other side of the road with a nice camera logo on it's side. The brief moment of satisfaction, turned into a very long "bollocks" feeling. I have to wait about 2 weeks to find out if I got caught or if I got away with it Oh why do motorbikes have to have so much acceleration

skyrider 0 #5 January 20, 2010 Yep, My bike cost me my lisense for the first 3 years I should have had it, it kept getting me caught riding without one,(Lisense)...If the bike had stopped running I wouldn;t have been riding it!
DrewEckhardt 0 #6 January 20, 2010 QuoteI passed my motorbike test about January last year, that means I have 6 points to last me for 2 years. I switched from an unfaired bike (1982 Yamaha Virago 920) to a half faired one (1998 Triumph Sprint 900). My first ticket came when the amount of noise and wind suggested I was going 60 MPH (in a 55 zone) but was really going much faster. I did slow down enough to avoid being arrested although it was close and the officer was probably in a generous mood. The next bike will have a full fairing so my legs don't get as tired on long highway rides and I'll continue to watch the speedometer.

Nataly 38 #11 January 20, 2010 We should have our own bloody lanes and no speed limits!! Let nature take it's course and weed out the reckless bikers!! Anyway, they're unlikely to injure anyone but themselves!! *sigh*.. I just got my motorcycle and it's not even powerful and already I'm finding it very tempting to speed.. It's just TOO MUCH FUN! SkyBastard 0 #12 January 20, 2010 I think you'll get away with that as you were alongside another vehicle it will be hard for them to prove who set off the camera and at what speed etc.Dude #320 "Superstitious" is just a polite way of saying "incredibly fucking stupid".
