They got to discussing the differences in the older and newer movies and how they have a completely different set of fans, and most of the "old school" fans have not really liked the new movies. Lucas' response was basically that "I've made a ton of money" and I really don't care if the old school, uber star wars freak fans don't like the new movies. Can't say that I blame him. When it just comes down to it, its only a movie and its prettys silly to get wrapped up in the details, which I think was the point of the "clerks" scene.
